"Solzhenitzin feels exposed
Built a barbed-wire prison
Nietzsche's six feet under
But his babies' still got rhythm
Einstein's celebrating ten decades
But I'm afraid philosophy is just too much responsibility for me

Oh my god, I totally forgot about that song.
That heavy production, like sonic sludge....
Yes! Heavy and forced and so NOT rock, no good times really rolling, all the gestures of rock scooped out and refilled with gooey sub grad student-y showboating.
The awareness too of the naughtiness, or maybe just cheek--someone who knows (and knows he's SUPPOSED to know) of the Sitwells, Solzenitzin, Al Fatah, et al.--and in fact cares enough about them to seemingly reject them-- championing this semantically amorphous, indifferently produced "rock," DOING THE ROCK so badly that the song becomes the inverse of everything the lyrics assert, or that rock might be ...
I think I love it.
